Mark Lanegan + Cold Cave: Isolation

Cold Cave's Wes Eisold and rock legend Mark Lanegan have been frequent collaborators, especially lately. Together they have released Plague Poems, an anthology of poetry on Heartworm Press, while the both sing on Ketamine, a song from Lanegan's freshly out album, Skeleton Key.

The two sides were invited to join the online event, Moving Through Silence: Celebrating the Life of Ian Curtis, alongside Joy Division and New Order's Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris, to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Ian Curtis on the 40th anniversary of his death.

Their rendition of the all time classic, and currently topical, Isolation, is very true to the original, but that doesn't stop this live take from coming across as something totally imposing.
