Moon Pics: Fall

Last time we heard from Brazilian artist Adriano Caiado's bedroom pop project, Moon Pics, was through the split EP with aliendawg. a few months ago. The exceptionally musing DIY act is now back with a two-track release which finds him collaborating again with aliendawg.'s Luis SpĂndola who helms the production, while the single comes once more out on Midsummer Madness.

Adriano cites Grouper's Cover the Windows and the Walls and William Basinski's Disintegration Loops as influences, while the impact of My Bloody Valentine and Radio Dept. is always in the mix.

Rich in both texture and feeling, Fall consummately exaggerates the reverberation and the fuzz without over-complicating neither the sound's beautiful chilliness nor the blunt melancholy which comes through Caiado's uncomplicated lyricism. The song comes with a vintage classical balletic clip which augments's the music's warmth in an atypical and special way.
