Dish Pit: Seven

Having already earned accolades for their three previous singles and their live act, and having opened for Amyl and The Sniffers and performed in numerous festivals, Montreal noise rock trio, Dishpit, present the first single off their upcoming debut, recorded in Chicago with the great Steve Albini, and scheduled to come out through Mainline Records.

Seven is a direct rocker, considered by the band to be the most literal track on the new album. "It's simple about a previous lover who 'only told me these things on speed,' y'know the type," Nora points out.

Gritty and slow burning, the song maintains that fine balance between grunge, punk and noise rock on which Albini always shines, while the band's delivery evokes a strong sense of excitement and fervency.

Dishpit are reportedly also working on tracks with Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Damon Albarn), and they look forward to more releases apart from the coming LP.
