One of the very best post rock acts in the world right now, Chicago's Russian Circles, prepare for the release of their seventh full length, Blood Year, an album which finds the band in a phase and mood where they seem to be thriving the most, all fierce, aggressive and assertive.
Milano becomes the second piece surfacing off the coming record, and it's a massive instrumental rocker, indicative of the band's startling and tense shifts, and their ability to grab the listener by the throat and keep their attention from end to end. The trio's choice to approach the songs on the new album with the same organic feel of a live show is proven to be a well suited one, and Kurt Ballou’s immaculate technical work makes everything sounding even more staggering.
