The Slumdogs: Monsters

Following their fierce early singles, Nightmare and Cut The Conversation Short, Blackpool newcomers, The Slumdogs, have just unveiled their debut six-track EP, Where’s Your Sanity?, on Gary Powell’s (The Libertines) 25 Hour Convenience Store label.

Lead single, Monsters, sounds fervent and cunning, redolent of the British punk rock ingenuity, agility and vitality of the late seventies, while it lyrically explores themes that deal with modern life's darkness.

Responsible for the EP's direct, gritty sound is Gavin Monaghan (The Blinders, The Sherlocks) who produced the record, while the band's burning hot, impassioned execution agrees perfectly with the sharpness and eloquence in the songwriting.
