As far as extreme post metal split releases go, it does not get any better than what Chicago's Minsk and Switzerland's Zatokrev have just come up with. After the unveiling of Minsk's The Chalice And The Dagger from two weeks ago, now the Swiss post/sludge metal greats present their incredible epic, the thirteen-minute long Silent Gods, an excruciatingly heavy and absolutely compelling psychedelic work of art which pairs perfectly with Minsk's progressive rock spirit.
Both bands’ vocalists provide guest vocal appearances on the each other’s track, and overall both groups' songs form something totally cohesive, completely compelling, and capable of drawing more devotees than those who are already aware of the four records that each band has released thus far.
