Caleb Scofield was a huge figure in contemporary post metal, a member of some of the genre's most iconic acts, such as Cave In, Old Man Gloom and his own, Zozobra, and a guest musician on recordings by Converge, Isis and The Ocean. Scofield tragically lost his life in a car accident on March 29th, 2018.
The first of the two tribute shows to benefit the late musician's family has taken place at The Royale in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 13th, 2018, headlined by Cave In and Old Man Gloom, and featuring Converge, Young Widows, and a reunited The Cancer Conspiracy. The whole event was livestreamed on Youtube, and it's available to watch below. Brace yourselves for the more than four hours of mind blowing heaviness that those first-class acts bring.
The West-Coast version of this will occur on October 13th, 2018 at LA's Wiltern Theater, which will also feature the great Pelican, and a reunited Isis under the name Celestial, a nod to the band's groundbreaking debut from 2000.
