Death And The Maiden are a trio from Port Chalmers, Dunedin, consisting of Lucinda King (vocals, bass), Hope Robertson (guitar, drums, vocals) and Danny Brady (synths, programming).
Following their eponymous debut LP from 2015, the band are set to release their new album, Wisteria, on April 27th, 2018, via Fishrider Records.
The first track to be unveiled off Death And The Maiden's upcoming work is carrying the intriguing title, Ooooh Baby in the Chorus, and it is a mesmeric, yet, pulsating track, dark and dreamy, and without doubt a worthy, if not a greater successor to the band's winsome debut. The song shines through its dark pop aesthetics achieved by the alluring electronics in its production, the heavy in reverb guitar work, and Lucinda King's melancholic and inviting vocal delivery.
