House Of Light: Nervous Systems

Something between the punk rocking despair of Dead Moon, the driving edge of X and the ingenuity of Pixies, with the addition of the band's own original dark twist, the latest record by House Of Light cannot be missed.

With foundations in three different cities that happen to also be on different continents (Berlin, Melbourne and L.A.), the band has managed to pass their mutable qualities and diverse influences into the composite that makes their music so exciting, and maneuver like water between punk, post punk, darkwave and shoegaze.

Another thrilling example off their album, Nervous Systems, is Last Dance, a highlight track that brings to mind most of the aforementioned celebrated acts, but it also sounds bold and exhilarating, in line with it being unlike anything else you've heard within the boundaries of gothic rock music in a while.
