King Woman: Utopia

If I had to pick the one 2017 album I anticipate the most, my answer would be spontaneous and it would point out the long-awaited debut full-length by King Woman, which by happy chance has a title and a release date before even the start of the new year.

King Woman's debut is going to be called Created In The Image Of Suffering and it will hit the shelves February 24th via Relapse Records.

The album's title may seem a bit like a Neurosis title from the nineties or the early oughties, but the sound itself is more like Neurosis meets Cathedral meets Sabbath meets Slowdive meets Swans or in simpler terms, heaviness at its finest, and it's been produced by mega-producer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Wreck & Reference, Oathbreaker and tons more) at the Atomic Garden in Palo Alto, CA.

We can't wait to listen to the entire thing, but for now let us all drool over Utopia, the album's brilliant opening track.

Turn it up and listen below...
