Gozu have been around since the late 2000's and until now they had released two albums on Small Stone and appeared in a few compilations and tribute albums; enough credits for the band to be considered battle-scarred veterans of the stoner rock scene, yet the big breakthrough never happened for them.
Gozu's third album, Revival, finds the band in incredible shape. With huge riffs that compliment the solid song structures and expertly produced, Revival is arguably Gozu's finest effort up to now and the record that will earn them a new fan base. Hopefully part of that fan base will make sure to also check out Gozu's Small Stone releases that deserve more appreciation. If you like your stoner rock heavy and grunge-y, you should too...
