Pharmakon, aka Margaret Chandler from New York, is one of the most promising noise/power electronics act on the roster of Sacred Bones Records. After a few self released CD-Rs, her excellent album, Abandon, has been one of 2013’s best deserved success stories and despite the fact that it’s a work created by a very young musician, it is art made out of guts, screams and a lot of feeling, dealing with loss and abandonment the hard way.
For the fourth installment of their annual Record Store Day compilations, Sacred Bones Records this year is about to release Todo Muere Vol. 4, which includes an odd cover of Sonny & Cher’s 1966 classic, Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) by Pharmakon.
