D//E to Release The Transformers Opening Theme Song on Record Store Day

We're very happy to announce the launching of our new record label, Destroy//Exist Records, via which we are releasing our first number, a 7-inch vinyl single of The Transformers Opening Theme Song for this year's Record Store Day.

With all the synthwave acts and 80s retro music we're posting about this last year, we thought this selection would be very fitting for our first ever number, the classic theme song from the popular cartoon, compose by Anne Bryant and Joe Bacal. It simply doesn't get more iconic than this for D//E.

For the B-side, actor Peter Cullen, the actor behind the voice of Optimus Prime from the original series, will be reprising his role on a 5-minute spoken word piece, reading passages from the Tranformers novel by Alan Dean Foster, that was first published in 2007.

The record will be strictly limited to 666 copies and the order requests will be attended in the order they arrive to be fair to everyone.

Pre-ordering and pricing info coming very soon.
