TURBO KID // Trailer

1.2.15

Brace yourselves…here comes TURBO KID, a welcomed blast from the past, or should I say the future?

Anyone who knows us, or reads this blog will know, we have a penchant for the eighties synthwave trend that’s around at the moment - So forgive us while we geek out a little. Turbo Kid originally started out as an unused entry for the first ABCs of Death (named T is for Turbo,) which quite rightly won them second place in the competition. Although it may have been left on the cutting room floor, it’s since gone on to gain producer Jason Eisener (Hobo With A Shotgun) as well as a host of other quality film folks on board. Now it stars Michael Ironside and is slated for release soon, meanwhile it’s currently doing the festival circuit.

The trailer has arrived bringing you shovels of nostalgia by the bucket load and accompanied by a nice synthwave score, that we can only speculate whom might be doing it (please be Power Glove!).

Synopsis:

In a post-apocalyptic future, THE KID, a young solitary scavenger obsessed with comic books must face his fears and become a reluctant hero when he meets a mysterious girl named APPLE. Despite their efforts to keep to themselves, ZEUS, the sadistic and self-proclaimed leader of the Wasteland, plagues THE KID and APPLE. Armed with little more than blind faith and an ancient turbocharged weapon, THE KID learns of justice and friendship and embarks on an incredible journey to rid the Wasteland of evil and save the girl of his dreams.
