The Bringing

Earlier this summer, a report surfaced linking the ‘Drive’ director Nicolas Winding Refn to direct ‘The Bringing’, a script by Brandon & Phillip Murphy. The movie is inspired by the spooky tale of a young woman named Elisa, who can be seen in a security video on an elevator in the Cecil Hotel acting strangely, just moments before she disappeared.
Elisa was sadly found dead in one of the roof’s water tanks two weeks later. Even stranger, the story took place in the very hotel where the killer Richard Ramirez lived at one point and where several suicides have occurred. The incident happend in January 2013 and it didn’t take long for Hollywood to secure the movie rights. Whether this is pretty poor taste is a matter of opinion, but one thing is for sure, this is one of the most unusual and unexpected tales.

'The Bringing' was slated to be Refn's next project, however the project then got railroaded for his own 'I Walk with the Dead'. Now a new director has become attached to the former Refn-helmed project. Reports now indicate Sony Pictures is now in talks with Jeremy Lovering to direct the horror movie.

During their investigation, L.A. police released surveillance video of Lam acting strangely in the hotel elevator. Take a look at the video below:
